The City was dirty. Hell, the whole planet was nothing to write home about. If you lived high enough above the streets, you could pretend it wasn’t so; turn a blind eye to all the corruption and despair. But down there was where Ezekiel Hood lived, and vice and squalor were his bread and butter.
This time he seems to have lucked out. Running security checks on the side for one of the big entertainment networks looked like an easy way to pad his pockets, but, as usual, he hasn’t been told the whole story. Before long he’s caught in a web of DNA theft, violence and murder. And he soon finds out that death not only waits for him in the twisted alleys where he walks, but in the bright lights of corporate boardrooms as well. And a man can die as easily on the floor of a rich man’s apartment as he can in the piles of garbage that choke the gutter.
One man CAN make a difference.
But not necessarily in a good way.
